"Called statefarm and talk with Aly. Super nice lady. Got everything set up and was happy, told her I wanted the policy they offered and that i would cancel my current insurance right away. Few days later I get a letter from my mortgage company saying that I don't have insurance. Statefarm didn't get me insurance on the day we talked about it, then their underwriter didn't pass my house. So now I have a break in insurance and am having a harder time finding insurance because of statefarm. Will never try them again and will never recommend them to anyone. They should had informed me to keep my insurance instead of telling me I was good to go. Super shady in my opinon. I am surprised they are popular with the way they screwed me over. Don't believe what they say. Good luck."

"We’re very sorry to hear about your experience, and we truly understand your frustration. If we were in your shoes, we would feel the same way. What happened is not the level of communication or service we want anyone to have when trusting us with something as important as home insurance.
We sincerely apologize for the confusion and stress this situation caused, especially with the issue involving your mortgage company and the gap in coverage. You should have been given clearer guidance during the process, and we understand how upsetting and inconvenient this has been for you.
While underwriting decisions are not always made at the agency level, we absolutely recognize that we could have communicated better and set clearer expectations from the beginning. For that, we are truly sorry.
We take feedback like yours seriously, and we will be addressing this internally with our team so we can improve how we guide customers through the application and approval process moving forward. Again, my apologies.
